Buc McMaster Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 This one sure is short with just vocals. Toss in a salty guitar intro, a lonesome fiddle ride, an instrumental out and it'd be your standard three minute tune, I reckon. But, in keeping with my way, the lyric is short and to the point........... Krassi did a fine interpretation of this some years back and I was honored he would take up such a task. The cherry burst on this Hummingbird looks its' best in strong natural light............. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBGZBjL7H28
j45nick Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Still one of my favorites of yours, Buc. It's really good to see you with a 'bird in hand again.
BluesKing777 Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Great sound, Buc! It is short, like you said! BluesKing777. (trying, to ignore that Bird Tone)....
sparquelito Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Gorgeous recording. Beautifully played, elegantly-sung. Two thumbs up. [thumbup]
MorrisrownSal Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Simply perfect. Your guitars is crisp, technique precise, and vocals... Well you know. I think i should program an algorithm that posts my comment above whenever you post a tune. Keep em coming. I'm learning new tunes and genres.
duluthdan Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 I remember loving this the first version i heard, and love it still. Wonderful song. [thumbup]
MissouriPicker Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 REal sweet, Buc. Easy-to-listen-to. Just as I've come to expect with your music.
Buc McMaster Posted July 14, 2016 Author Posted July 14, 2016 I'm learning new tunes and genres. I'd be proud if you were to take a shot at this one, Sal. Simple chording, and it doesn't have to be honky-tonk thumped as I do it. Short and easy to learn......come on, Sal! Song of the week? Thank for watching folks, and I appreciate the kind comments. Perfect it's not, but then again not much is really......it's close enough, I guess. I do like the way this microphone captures live sound like it does and if the lighting is good the laptop cam gets pretty good video. I'm working up four or five tunes to take to an open mic soon........now if i can just work up the nerve. Sometimes there are a few veterans at such affairs that will hop up with you and do some fills and solos to flesh out a song nicely. Think I'd enjoy that. Thanks again! You folks are a terrific audience!!
