He was good value.I remember his "Blues Run the Game" made me aware of Jackson C Frank. And he once did a killer version of "Famous Blue Raincoat" L.Cohen song.

He even did a cover of a song I wrote.that may have killed his career!

Had a Hummingbird which noone was sure if he kept or sold to get a J-35.Which he had problems with.

Had some robust banter with parlorman....but it never got nasty.

Seemed like a lovely bloke.

Yes - I remember and liked Del.

We had behind-curtain dialogues now and again.

Last thing I heard from him was when he was selling his Bird. It went smooth in spite of the scraped down flora-fauna.

Hope the guy is well - maybe he is back in the big-city-maze-race.

Have a feeling he was on a kind of laid-back curve when he chimed in here, , , a hiatus of some sort. .

It was strange - he was around and then stopped - maybe someone upset him? He said goodbye too, if I remember.

Or maybe he went in to a shoe design biz with Parlorman?

(for those scratching their heads at his name, it is Led Zeppelin anagram).

DelZeppnipples as BBG once described, or maybe not, pls correct me if I'm wrong.

That was a great period on the board with Del, Parlourman, Mojo in Budapest and even whacko Jerry k and his nose in the mix.

These characters come and go and shape in a way the feel of the discussions at the time, then they disappear in a flash, to be replaced by others to keep the candle burning.

Indeed, the zipplenipple......uh......zepenshuffle.......no...... We know who you're talking about, Sal. I do not recall his departure, perhaps I wasn't visiting much then. EA is right: they come and they go. There has been a fairly stable core of posters in the years I've been onboard, excepting my ukulele hiatus. It is this cadre of veteran, frequent posters that keeps a forum moving along and conveys an overall mood, feel and character to new members that come along. Some like the crowd, make contributions and stick around.......some dip a toe in the water, quickly dry it off and move along. It's all good! [wink]

I remember.

There have been others, like Buc said, who wondered off. I'll get busy and miss several days, and several post sometimes, but I try to stay recent.

It's almost eeeary to think about someone dropping off. When I die, that's what I'll do. I doubt my wife would think of, or know how to come on and tell anyone here.

No, but the authorities will. They always brag when they get to drop a name off the M/W'ed list! [smile]

As for Del, I remember also.
