Rick Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Hi! Few days ago I bought my first and new (to me, because it was used, sold by a shop) Gibson ES-335! It's a 2014 Limited Run in Lemonburst, with Dimarzio PAFs 36th ann. pickups and Tonepros bridge. I'm really liking her, played through both my amps (Marshall JCM800 and Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue). It has a quite rough, nasal voice. Pickups measure 7.84K in the neck and 7.81K in the bridge. To my ears, they have a full, balanced tonal palette, without being too much harsh (as some Custombuckers I heard - or like the BB#2..) or too round and mellow (like the '57, pickup that I don't appreciate, both on the 335s I heard previously and on the Les Paul). Quite articulate sound, but I can't understand why do some people dislike them... I think I'm fallin' in love with the 335
adamlovesgin Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Its beautiful, but I'd love it even more with pickup covers.
Pesh Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 What an amazing guitar! Looks fabulous mate; congratulations and HNGD!
sparquelito Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 She's a beauty. A one-in-a-million-girl! Why would I lie?
