She still doesn't get it about Brexit. I first heard of the EU at school in 1967. It was strongly being sold as a way for the many tiny European countries to compete economically with the one, behemoth America. What Brits found out was that the EU was a like adding a second federal government on top of the one they already had ruling over them. Who needs two federal governments?
