Tman Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Saw this and had to make her mine. 500 made. Matches my strat. Got the last one they had in Corona! Incredible player. Will be a main axe for sure.
Dub-T-123 Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Very cool! I've seen a lot of people make "Telemaster" partcasters but this model is the first I've seen Fender do it from the factory I bet it sounds and feels great
4Hayden Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Nice one Tman always did like a white guitar , nothing sounds like a Tele 4H
ZenKen Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 From one who hangs around the Fender forums more than the Gibson forum all I can say is NICE!
jdgm Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Congrats Tman..... Sort of a Strat with Tele configuration and... I'd like a go on it....
cookieman15061 Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 Congrats T. I know you'll rock it. I'm just struggling with the body shape. Just not sure if I like it or not. Probably just me.
darling67 Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Nice! Congrats! My Tele is the same finish and pick guard combo. I found it interesting how they call this guitar a "Telecaster"—even though it's "offset".
'Scales Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Cool shape and colour T'man - a rosewood board and a Seth Lover HB subbed in at the neck would be on my wishlist, but very nice as is. Congrats mate!
Brytam Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Great looking guitar! First I have seen like it... & the white finish...
capmaster Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Congrats on the funniest looking Telecaster I've ever seen. To my eyes she has some Fender Jaguar genes, too. ;) The case is a Jaguar case I think, isn't it?
Tman Posted August 7, 2016 Author Posted August 7, 2016 Thanks everyone! It is everything the American Standard Telecaster is except the Jazzmaster/Jaguar body. You're right Caps. Looks very Indie to me. CookieMonster the shape is why I got it! I love it and it is comfortable as hell to play. Been playing it incessantly. Has a custom shop vintage bridge pickup and twisted tele neck pickup. Bridge is a modern take on the vintage with intonatable saddles. I still have and play my black V and now these 2 will join the Firebird and be my bright side to the dark side V.
kelly campbell Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Nice Guitar TMAN...Both of them are beautiful congrats
cookieman15061 Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 CookieMonster the shape is why I got it! I love it and it is comfortable as hell to play. Now don't get me wrong it's a beautiful axe as everyone here agrees but I guess it's the calling it a Tele that plays tricks with my old geezer brain matter. Would love to play one though.
daveinspain Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Wow now thats a unique looking guitar! Don't think I have ever seen that shape… Looks very comfortable to play… Congrats!!!
Johnny 6 String Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 They look great together, havent seen anything like it. Great score!! Johnny
RowdyMoon Posted August 7, 2016 Posted August 7, 2016 Wow, thats nice indeed....thanks for giving me gas again!!!
Tman Posted August 7, 2016 Author Posted August 7, 2016 Thanks folks! I'm typically a Gibson guy and love the overdriven sound of a bridge position Gibson humbucker through a tube amp. Lately I've been going for clean and either quacky (strat) or now twangy with this all but looks Tele. Through Blackface circuitry, I have found heaven in my guitar sound (at least for me!). Wow, thats nice indeed....thanks for giving me gas again!!! Anything I can do to help the cause I will try to do. Don't check out the other colors available. No need to exacerbate the pain.......
Pesh Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 I so love these; Fender need to do this as part of the standard line, methinks! I would love to be in a position to be able to buy one - might have to make one! Looks like a stunning guitar, Tman; make she bring you much and make a lot of noise!

I can certainly do the noise part! There are a lot of options where you can build one for sure. Warmoth is one. Cool stuff!
EVOL! Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 Congrats on the new guitar. She's a beauty. I am not a fan of the standard Tele only because that broad, flat top with no relief on the upper part for your strumming arm is uncomfortable. Having the Tele sound/settings in an offset body is brilliant.
