Are you going to buy a wilshire?

I don't personally care for the looks of them. I guess the shape is not my favorite, but I could probably stand it more if it wasn't for the pick guard... for some reason I just can't stand it. However, no matter what I think of the looks, the price is way overboard if you ask me. :(

If I was going to buy a guitar with P90s, retro-style odd-shaped body with a cult-following vibe to it I would get this instead:

I know, it is a cheap guitar but it looks cool, also available with a Jazzmaster-style trem....

Plus each one of the 3 Epis I have owned was built cheap and overpriced.

If you'll NEVER buy a Gibson then theres no point in being here. I plan to very soon. I appreciate however, that he may have been talking about NEW Gibsons, which is completely different!

I was just looking for another shouting match

Well, I've got good news for you...the Wilshire Custom Historic is an Epiphone! <g> And, if the price is the only thing that matters to you, then you can get a regular Wilshire for about $300.

I'm just sayin'. <g>
