Some new acoustics being advertised for 2017

Never really gassed for a gibson acoustic but could be swayed with this. Guitar guitar have a range of 2017 to browse at.

Very exciting, yeah. Next month, we will get more info om Gibson USA and - maybe - Custom, too. Hopefully, Memphis will follow quickly, as well.

I believe the linked new Gibson is a Rosewood laminate. Not sure though, description is vague. Also uses a richlite fretboard material. I think they are going for affordability which is a good thing.

 

I like the cut away. It appears to a brand new offering and model numbering system which starts with HPL, then just HP ( high pressure laminate?)

It is vague! Sweetwater has a fairly extensive description, and nowhere does it say solid rosewood. It doesn't even say solid sitka spruce top. Are they saying, hey, it's an acoustic electric; plug it in?

the guys in the acoustic forum commented just that, to a lot of them, it sounded too much like a Taylor..

 

and.. well,, there's not a lot of love for Taylors over there... :)
