I know it's wrong because it...something....doesn't look right....

but....

I quite like it. The more I look at it....

They'd sell too IMO....

Minus the open coil pickups and the color (I don't do fancy finishes), I like it. Would love to play one.

I like it full stop. They should make these.

In my imagination the marketing blurbs might read like "The perfect marriage of voluptuous curves and racy bevels" [biggrin]

Long tenon?

Which would it sound like....???

I always wanted a slightly thicker body SG....

I like it too.. If Gibson made one like that, id want to try one for sure.

Hey, if Gibson don't want too I will :D

I agree Rabs I like it as well. What I do not understand is who says yeah or nay? do they test market the products? or is it just a "board room" decision? The reason I ask is they certainly screwed the pooch with the Gforce debacle and I was curious now if they are being a little more timid concerning the designs. I would think that this would be received better than the Gforce. JUst my two cents worth.

Im sure a big company like Gibson have a huge marketing and design team...

As for the 2015s, this man was a big part of it all

Well I do have to say this isn't my Photoshop work.. It was put up on a thread in the SG section... I just couldn't resist rep-posting it..

But I do like the idea of trying to make one.. Now that would be a challenge.... Ive already had three workable ideas on how to do the binding where it crosses over from being a LP to an SG...

Hey! You stole my line from the other thread! [flapper]

Couldn't help myself [blush] :)

Thatd be a great name for it though a Les G [thumbup]

Thing is, they have produced thin versions or variants of the LP shape in various ways: L6S & L4S, LP Lite and "Less" Paul and so on.....

But - from the other direction - a slightly thicker SG would be a very fine thing IMO.....

Hehe; it's cool isn't it!

This is, I believe, the work of Ex-Nihilo over at the MLP forum; he's a great builder of reissue-era models, and occasionally does these off-shoots.

Yep; she's real. The original thread over at My Les Paul: http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/showthread.php?t=325091

And she's not the only one of her kind:

He's brilliant at building.

I don't know if this will work or not, but have a look at his projects: http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/search.php?searchid=13483264&pp=25

Wow.. that is sooo cool...

I had been thinking of how I would do that build and am glad to say what I envisioned was exactly what he did :) [thumbup]

I may try one myself...
