C-RAM Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Oh, no... Did they put Zakk Wylde on the design team, now??
jdgm Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 I know it's wrong because it...something....doesn't look right.... but.... I quite like it. The more I look at it.... They'd sell too IMO....
EVOL! Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Minus the open coil pickups and the color (I don't do fancy finishes), I like it. Would love to play one.
Guest Farnsbarns Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 I like it full stop. They should make these.
capmaster Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 In my imagination the marketing blurbs might read like "The perfect marriage of voluptuous curves and racy bevels"
jdgm Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Long tenon? Which would it sound like....??? I always wanted a slightly thicker body SG....
Rabs Posted August 26, 2016 Author Posted August 26, 2016 I like it too.. If Gibson made one like that, id want to try one for sure. Hey, if Gibson don't want too I will :D
kelly campbell Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 I agree Rabs I like it as well. What I do not understand is who says yeah or nay? do they test market the products? or is it just a "board room" decision? The reason I ask is they certainly screwed the pooch with the Gforce debacle and I was curious now if they are being a little more timid concerning the designs. I would think that this would be received better than the Gforce. JUst my two cents worth.

As for the 2015s, this man was a big part of it all
Rabs Posted August 26, 2016 Author Posted August 26, 2016 Well I do have to say this isn't my Photoshop work.. It was put up on a thread in the SG section... I just couldn't resist rep-posting it.. But I do like the idea of trying to make one.. Now that would be a challenge.... Ive already had three workable ideas on how to do the binding where it crosses over from being a LP to an SG...
PelhamBlueFire Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Did you hear the news about the double-neck Les Paul? New for 2017....
darling67 Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 :D Hey! You stole my line from the other thread!
Rabs Posted August 27, 2016 Author Posted August 27, 2016 Hey! You stole my line from the other thread! Couldn't help myself :) Thatd be a great name for it though a Les G
surfpup Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Basically that's a PRS Santana with pointier horns.
jdgm Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Thing is, they have produced thin versions or variants of the LP shape in various ways: L6S & L4S, LP Lite and "Less" Paul and so on..... But - from the other direction - a slightly thicker SG would be a very fine thing IMO.....
LPguitarman Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Not too bad... Probably has better access past the 12th fret than a Standard LP. It's growing on me.

Hehe; it's cool isn't it! This is, I believe, the work of Ex-Nihilo over at the MLP forum; he's a great builder of reissue-era models, and occasionally does these off-shoots.

Pesh Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Hey man.. Good to see you back... So you are saying that's real??? :o Yep; she's real. The original thread over at My Les Paul: http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/showthread.php?t=325091 And she's not the only one of her kind: http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55028 He's brilliant at building. I don't know if this will work or not, but have a look at his projects: http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/search.php?searchid=13483264&pp=25
