This one's got some punch! Excellent balance across the strings, warm and wonderful. And the paint on the guard appears to be all yellow, no white, and intact. Got some mojo and tone for days!

Wow that is really nice looking and sounding, I think that is the first I have seen or heard of the 1961. I really like it Any ideal of what song he was playing there? I am gonna have to look one up to see the price of that year.

Nice guitar. Made me cringe a couple of times when you hear the metal buttons on the sleeve of this jacket make a tic-tic sound on that 55 year old top.

That's a common comment on all the videos he's does. I've seen him take it off for the pre-war martins he demos though . Beautiful sounding bird I wonder what that one sold for being a first year production model.

Unfortunately it still has the skinny butt neck which is why I have kept old HBs at arm's length. On the other hand, these days Gibson makes nothing like the old ones. So if you want that sound, there is only one way to go.
