merciful-evans
I have not yet attended one of these because I don't need another guitar, and I know I would come home with 'something' if I did. There are 3 or 4 auctions of guitars and amps nr. Bath every year. Here are a few interesting ones up in a couple of weeks, and a couple of breathtaking ones. Gibson es-325 walnut early 1970s (similar to one earlier in the year- relisted maybe?) Epiphone Masterbilt Zenith 1939 (condition looks great) Arbiter 1970s (what a finish!) Gibson 1930s L4 Archtop (difficult to see carved top in this pic) Hofner Committee 1958 (love the back detail)
10K-DB
Those are beautiful,,I imagine the price tags are beyond "beautiful" though,,nice share there. My 74' Harmony "Rocket" has a bridge similar to the EPI Masterbuilt axe,,nice!
merciful-evans
estimates are not too high. In fact most are low. Having said that you need to add on 40% for the true cost! (20% auction + 20% VAT). Here is the link with estimates. There are a LOT of nice guitars there. http://guitar-auctions.co.uk/catalogue-preview-thursday-15th-september-2016/
