jt
Here's a video recording of my chat a couple of weeks ago about Kalamazoo Gals with Michael Watts of London's North American Guitar. Thank you, Michael! For all guitarists who pass through or near London, the shop a must see. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmGR9z4GD6c
E-minor7
Thanx for sharing. Always intriguing to hear you dive into these topics. One can lite a cigarette on your enthusiasm and that asymmetric X literally is something else. Keep the flame burning, , , well, you will. . duluthdan
i love hearing and reading about that discovery and project. What a boost for guitar players, those special women, and the whole town of Kalamazoo. It also keeps alive the appetite for that little banner, whether from the 40's or the new reissues. jt
Thanks, all, for the kind words. The little book really has changed my life and, as my friend Dan points out, has shone a light on music, musical instruments, the creators of those instruments, and the community where they were built. The Kalamazoo Gals Express continues to chug along. In April 2017, a play based on the book will be staged in Michigan!
