BluesKing777
Well, I was expecting to do a new track with my new guitar before any others, but after playing it for a few hours today I picked up my National (M14 wood body resonator guitar) to go through another tune I have been working on and just before finishing up I played this one....oh oh, better record it. So the National and vocal are through the Boss VE-8 pedal, plus a mic on the National as well... Solo acoustic slide version of the Stones' Honky Tonk Women. https://soundcloud.com/bk7-3/honk777b BluesKing777.

I haven't heard very many folks play the blues anymore like that. Great Job !

zombywoof
Very, very nice. And I love that song. I think I added it to my electric and acoustic setlist the day after the 45 rpm was released.

Not much of the original version in mine except lyrics probably, but the very first band I was in should have been called "Get Your Ya Yas Out, Chuck!", but unfortunately we weren't that clever.... The track is probably more of an 'idea' than anything finished....in the solo part, I followed the changes, but I think I would like to work out a totally different 'delta blues' part for that. Then again, I am tired of hearing it now. <_< BluesKing777.

flatbaroque
That's a cover that puts life into a song that has run its course a bit in its original form. That's the way to reinvent. Beauty!
Buc McMaster
Nice! Don't know why, but a phrase used to describe a particular baseball pitch comes to mind listening to this: high & tight. Well done, Mr King!
BluesKing777
Thanks FB and Buc! This one keeps coming back.... High and Tight? When I first saw the Stones live, I wasn't sure what that meant and the other day when I recorded it, I had almost forgotten! Aah, but in between there somewhere....... BluesKing777.
