mtown
Has anyone played or heard the new Gibson HP 665? I'm really interested in this guitar but am having a hard time getting my hands on one.

kelly campbell
Have not seen or played this one. I only have seen and played the 415 it was ok not bad just don't think I have any desire to own one. I am not big on the looks of them.
djw171
I've played the 635W as well as the 415W. The 635W was the better of the two I thought. Looked better as well. Square shoulder, smaller body more Songwriter size than Hummingbird. It played very nicely and sounded good. Very nice piece of Walnut on the back of that particular guitar. Very comfortable to sit and play, nice neck and the thinner body feels and sounds good. Cosmetically could not fault it. Fit and finish was excellent. I guess the price bracket of this particular model is around the same as some of the 300 series Taylors, and the cutaway Martins which is the market I assume Gibson are aiming at.
