Buc McMaster
Microsoft TV spot with what appears to be a CJ-165. Split parallelogram inlay, small jumbo body, abalone rosette. Headstock logo looks taped but hard to miss this one......I think. And it really sounds pretty good as well........... https://www.ispot.tv/ad/ACim/microsoft-surface-pro-4-surface-pro-song
fretplay
Certainly sounds like one. The biggest give away is the CJ 165 has an ebony fretboard but you can't make that out.
Jesse_Dylan
Strange commercial, but that sure sounds nice! Thinking it has to be a 165.
billy_v
We noticed, too, that they'd obscured the Gibson name on the headstock. Bound to be for some legal reason. Hawkeye Henry never sleeps!
Dotneck
Bound to be for some legal reason. Hawkeye Henry never sleeps! I don't think its because of any legal reasons...its an economic reason. This is a commercial going on national (international?) Television. If you want your company's logo displayed you must deliver some cash. Theses guys don't advertise for free. It's all about the product placement... BTW...I saw it on TV too and also thought it was a 165. First time I saw it I thought it was a 185. Next time I looked closer...
