This is from 4 1/2 years ago. One (the vintage Cordovox 2x12, third from left on bottom) is gone. Still have the rest, plus a few more. Too lazy to list, if anyone has any questions, though, fire away. Have bought a few combos since, maybe will post the newer small additions later.

Thanks! The Sunn is a pre-'69 (that's as best I can date it) Sunn 200S. Technically these are bass heads, the ones Entwhistle used on a Who USA/Canada 1968 tour, but it works great for guitar.

The blackface is a '66 Super Reverb that was halved into a 2x10 combo top with 2x10 extension cab bottom, long before I bought it. The speakers are old Sunn Magna 108s, again those were in the amp when I bought it.

Those are volumes of the Southern Reporter, First and Second Series. The old "Southern" (first) ones contain the appellate decisions from the southern tier of states of the USA, going back to the 1800's. At some point in "Southern Second," we got an edited version known as "Southern Second, Florida Cases," which excise opinions from outside Florida.

We did have legal encyclopedias in the same room, but they're not visible in that shot.

Must be the loudest library ever

Yeah, it did get loud in there. Fortunately several of my partners were musicians, and two of our bands used that room for practices after hours. It was freakin perfect for that. The books provided great soundproofing, and the library was in the middle of the building, with a hall surrounding it, and then attorney offices on the other side of the hall on the outside of the building. So if we closed the library doors and the doors to the individual offices, it was virtually soundproof from outside.

Just going through this old thread admiring the different amps, and was wondering what you play the LP Recording through? My understanding was that they were low impedance and required a special amp, or going through PA system?

Hello Twang Gang!

This version 2 Recording (1978-1980) has two outputs: one low-Z, and another that is wired after a built-in transformer. Through the high-Z output, You can use it just like a regular guitar. The low-Z output allows it to be connected to mixing board directly, or to a mic pre-amp.

However, I either use a Shure impedance matching transformer, or a tiny custom-built active preamp to connect it to one of my Böhm-Regent combos by it's low-Z output. The controls are much more sensitive that way.

1974 Fender Bassman...

If it becomes necessary, I will squeeze my head into the back of it and huff the Marlbl/Bud stank out of it for you. As a famous guy in a movie once said, "I love the smell of a 70's Fender in the morning".

Yeah - They usually smell like some critter got trapped in there for a couple weeks until it died and then they left the cover over it for 20 years.

Nice! [thumbup]

One day I'd like to own a whole fleet of drip-edge SF Fenders ('68). I have a Princeton so I only need a Deluxe Reverb, Twin Reverb, Super Reverb, Champ, Bronco, Dual Showman, Bandmaster, Bassman, Vibrolux, and Pro Reverb.

... What speakers do you have in the Tenn Amp cab?

It's a 1x12 with a Celestion 75 watt "Creamback" speaker. I need a little different speaker to go with the Bassman. Something more articulate. I'm rebuilding another old cab into either a 1x15 or 2x10. I have a couple of '65 CTS alnico 10" speakers I could get reconed. I'm not sure what's going to happen yet.

We did some mods to a couple, including taming the aggressiveness on the drive channel and installing a slope control. Also installed a boost volume control.

I forgot that we installed a Weber 12F150 speaker - a big improvement over the cheesy Fender Special design speaker,

[thumbup]

I just had to bump this so I could find it again tomorrow as it answers a question I asked in another thread....

Belated thanks, bbp!
