Doesn't take long to regain 45%, but keeping it there requires attention. Case humidifiers help, but keeping moisture in the room does lots better. olie Posted February 12, 2017 Share Posted February 12, 2017 I agree with all you who advocate for protection through maintaining reasonable humidity. Got a Honeywell room unit that keeps things around 40-45 RH and keep those gel pacs in the cases where my guitars live when I'm not playing them.It's not a big imposition to take them out and put them back in their cases. A lot easier than taking the dog out for it's constitutional and,when you've paid good money for a good guitar-why not? The neck and the frets stay put and the tone is great.
