Steinberger bass Identification

Steinberger

Recommended Posts

Hi, I've had this Steinberger Bass given to me a while ago and now curious as to which model and year it's from. Pretty sure mid to late 80s.

Serial # NII532 but can't find it or close to in the Serial listings. Searched everywhere for the model but to no avail.

Any help much appreciated.

This is a Steinberger Q4 bass, usually referred to as "XQ2 v1". It is white and has a DB tuner bridge, so it's an XQ2DxWH. That "x" is for the EQ, I don't know if it has an active or passive EQ, which would be indicated by an "A" or "P". Build date is late 1990 or early 1991.
