charlie brown
Hi Rev Six...I liked the look of your updated (wide bevel) '61 pickguard, so I ordered 3, for my '61 based SG's, as well. Delivery was delayed, by the Holiday mail traffic, but they should be here, tomorrow, or early next week. Looking forward to installing them. Thanks, for the tip, on "Creamtone!" They seem like good guys, as I've been dealing with Lonnie Gilbert, there. CB
Riffster
I too want to order one for my SG Futura but it will have to be partially custom because of the pickup fitment. Hopefully they can do it at a reasonable price. I over layed the pickguard from my 50th anniversary and the two bottom screw holes line up, I think that would be the correct placement. So I took it out put a paper sheet under the pickguard and reinstalled it and drew a template.

Riffster
I too prefer those recesed nuts on the toggle switch. I have never been a fan of the vintage cooor switch tip but it looks great on your guitar. That pickguard really looks great.

bigtim
What SG model is this? Where is the MOP inlay that is supposed to be on the center headstock? It is a very good looking one though anyways.
Revolution Six
This killer SG was made in 2015
Revolution Six
New nut, Gibson should make a nut like this, the style is classic and I prefer.
Pesh
Very nice set of upgrades done here; love the new 'guard - looks much better than the stock.
Seb1968
Hi, Here is my new Gibson SG. Finish is Trans Black, this is a great SG. Planned upgrades: - 5 ply CreamTone pickguard - Gibson ABR-1 bridge - Knob pointers That's a very nice SG, may it give you years of playing pleasure. Every time I see an SG, Angus Young comes into my mind, I think it would be fair to say that Angus Young immortalised the Gibson SG. The SG is a great sounding guitar, and it has that balllsy, beefy Gibson sound, especially when plugged into a Marshall.
Der_Kaiser
With those inserts/ adapters I can install a pure Gibson ABR-1 bridge , Nice guitar! Where did you get these inserts from?
Revolution Six
Thanks, I don' t remember where I bought the inserts, here are links : http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/gbridge_studs.htm http://www.philadelphialuthiertools.com/nashville-parts/?sort=featured&page=
Der_Kaiser
Cheers for the links, I've just ordered a couple of conversion posts for my LP. Regardless of whether an abr-1 is better or worse than a Nashville I just love the vintage look!

Revolution Six
A friend build a white custom pickguard, it is very well mase but I' m not sure ... What do you think guys ?
tx-ogre
The white one is nice, but my preference would be the black one.
Revolution Six
Same for me, I prefer the black pickguard
charlie brown
White (to me) screams SG Custom! Standards, especially in a darker color (Cherry or Walnut, etc.) look better, more traditional, IMHO, with the 5-ply wide beveled Black version. But, again, that's just Me. It's your guitar, you do whatever YOU like most! CB
