Unable to activate Deckadance LE

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I just purchased a CMD Studio 4a. I registered my device to CakeWalk and now I'm trying to get it to work with Deckadance 2 LE. I've download the demo version. I ask for a activation request, successfully log in and get the .dat file. When I return to Deckadance and "Import Activation Response", every time I get "Activation response file failure. Stanton Deckadance is not activated." I am using the demo version 2.61, Stanton Deckadance OEM 2.5 and Deckadance v2 LE (Behringer OEM) are in My Products in CakeWalk. Im just not sure whats wrong. Im using Mac

Please, if someone could help!

I'm not sure what is the problem yet. Could you check if there is a file named "com.stanton.commandcenter.plist" in the folder "Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences"?

Yes there is. This is what is inside of it.

I just continued to use the program after activation fails.... but it looks like its not failing. I seem to have the full program. Its labeled as demo and the serial is UNKNOWN but it works fine.... huh.

Edit: Nevermind - Its still the demo version.... Please help!

Delete the file "com.stanton.commandcenter.plist" (...it doesn't look correct to me). Then reinstall Deckadance and try the registering process again.

I think that weird code was from com.stanton.deckadancestandalone2.plist. I don't see commandcenter.plist. What should I do?

You should reinstall DD because the file "com.stanton.commandcenter.plist" is created automatically by the installer.

I did and I am still getting the same error.... what should I try now? Do you have TeamViewer, maybe you can help me out on there?

Unzip the attached file into your "Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences" folder and try the registering process one more time:

- export activation request file using "For LE Edition" button

- open activation website and upload the activation request file

- Import the response file provided by the activation website

com.stanton.commandcenter.zip

I'm sorry, we don't use TeamViewer.

I'm trying to find a solution for this. I have noticed that Cakewalk authorization system was updated yesterday. Maybe it's worth to try one last time... btw, make sure that the date of your computer is updated. If it continues giving you problems then send me a private message with your registering email and attach here the activation request and response files.

Is there a way to fully clear all program files from my computer. Like an uninstall.app (I am using Mac.)

The problem with the registering system is that it's a black box and I don't have access to it, so that, it's difficult for me to isolate the problem. I'm going to speak with the manager to see if I can get a new serial number for you. Everybody is at Namm show this week what makes things a little bit slower than usual.

I forgot to answer your question about how to remove the program from your computer. Remove the following:

- "Deckadance2.app" from "Applications" folder

- "Stanton" folder and all its contents from "Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support".

- "com.stanton.commandcenter.plist" file from "Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences" folder.

- "Stanton" folder and all its contents from "Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST" folder.

Once done, restart the OS.
