Real Supremes don't have back plates. The plate for the input jack is wider because the electronics are installed through that opening.

And that's the most common mistake they make when they fake supremes... I dont know why they dont just do their homework (oh wait... I think they are... through this guy... I really think he is just trying to find out what is wrong with their designs so they can correct those things... I am not trying to be an a$$hole here, but it just comes out... I cant stand how people leaving in the US cant speak/write english (at least 86,5% correctly), they sound/look chinese to me when they write that way.

OK, I'm glad you said this. I've been thinking all day that his posts just don't read "Tennessee" to me. I can't help but think this could be a counterfeiter as well...I mean, something just seems off, you know?

Hey, late getting to this thread, what's all the moaning I'm hearing?

Man, it sounded like you guys caught the fake before he even posted a pix. He may have been a troll, tho.

Losers have nothing better to do than just make up fake posts to get everyone's blood boiling.

I suppose its time to pitch in here!

I 100% agree with what Thunder says. If this guy is genuine then I wish him luck...If he's not I hope he gets electrocuted by the moody electrics in his moody Gibsun whilst playing it...:) I mean how can people come here and ask a bunch of hardcore Gibson enthusiasts there opinion then get all shirty at the answers...

Wind your neck in!!

He's just a rube. A counterfieter would have nothing to gain by posting his wares here. They would only draw more attention to the fact that their products are out there, and make more people aware of their scam.

Too counterproductive.

It could be that the poster was aware that his guitar is fake, and was desperate to find a similar real Gibson that matches, in hopes of misleading a potential buyer.

wow this thread has been pretty crazy...i also agree the OP was a fake himself. reading through this i found myself questioning how this guy was really from TN and just couldn't grasp the pure evidence everyone was dumping on him. i bet he's on his way back to his sweatshop factory to tell everyone his adventures and fake gibson copy corrections we've been giving him!

Ioffer is located in San Fran (hey thats your area or near it Caliman) and they have a solid "F" rating from the BBB' date=' and a huge amount of websites dedicated to the people who are always ripped off by "not knowing" the designer hand bag she purchased for 900 off list was a fake.... lol They have no listed phone numbers and they have a PO Address in the San Fran area. I guess its safe to assume they would not want people to know where the child porn HQ is at (Yup they even have that on Ioffer) and I found out about this on another forum. It is also in the low 5% of slowest websites and top 5% of most counterfeit sold.[/quote']

I googled Ioffer to look up some of the stuff you mentioned...I'm shocked at what I found. If in fact they are peddling drugs, child pornography, and counterfeit merchandise, how on earth are they not being investigated by local and federal agencies? If the allegations are true, and it sure as hell looks like there is enough smoke to warrant an investigation, then the president, ceo and other principals should be headed to prison for profiting on the back of outlandish illegal activity. I'm dead serious - this stuff is outrageous.

As for you, Gibson, I might suggest that this is yet another good opportunity for you to take the lead in protecting not only your own name, but both American and worldwide consumers. There are few names as revered or as respected as that of Gibson - if anyone has the clout to lead the charge, you would be among the those in the front.

1) The pics - if you look carefully were taken from inside a mobile home ie: trailer house.

He's just a kid from Tennessee that got hoodwinked...

There are more to those pictures than a counterfeit guitar...

Ok then, I change my mind but only because you say so and I think Rich would have followed you =P~

I hadnt given a second thought to the pics... (I just read flame inlay and 3 active pickups + back plate and I asumed it was the worst).

Dude, if you are still around, I hope you get your money back.

Make sure you stiff the retailer good and proper!

If they say they "didnt know" then they know sweet FA about guitars and should start selling lamp shades!
