Epiphone outfit?

Probably a silly and really obvious question, but my brain is failing me today.

Does anyone know why all the fancier Epi models are referred to as "outfits?"

Is it because they're all dressed up?

Not sure, but it may be because they include a case, and "documentation" Stuff??! It seemed to

start in the versions made to accurate Kalamazoo spec's, including "Nitro" finishes, that were

crafted in Japan, and only certain Epi dealers, elsewhere, had access to. But, lately, that

seems to have been amended, somewhat, to include Epi's versions of so called "Re-issues."

My newest Epi, is one that has that "Outfit" description, as well. Maybe, they'll be somewhat

limited editions??? Only Epiphone/Gibson Marketing, know for sure. [tongue]

It always struck me as a stupid term for a company like Epiphone to use. It's what I would expect a department store to use, selling $59 guitars to soccer moms for their kids 7th birthday.
