pippy
Could be Pip, then again I'd suggest 99% of LPs that are sold nowadays (or maybe even made) do not come from the volute-era ... A very interesting discussion could stem from this exchange, Scales; Perhaps the lack of guillotine-esque severances in the 'Modern-Age' is somewhat connected to greater availability of more secure, "idiot-proof" guitar stands and an astute awareness of the 'Don't YOU Be The One Who Turns Out To Be the Complete Fcukwit!' society in which we now live? Or perhaps the Volute did actually help those skinny late- '60s and '70s neck-joins?...... Pip.
'Scales
I'd reckon there to be far MORE breaks now Pip for reasons like, well... ...not to mention the humble gig-bag ...not to mention that little darling Toby can strum Midnight Special, and he really thinks Slash is cool and he WANTS it, so... pippy
Sorry, Scales, But I missed this earlier; or as we say round here : New Zealand: Two hours ahead, twenty years behind... I've a good few Kiwi mates but I know that even they'd have had a giggle at that!. Pip.
