Rambler
Caught Dave and Phil Alvin (of Blasters fame) at Stone Mt Arts in Brownfield Maine last nigh. Heckuva show. Lotta blues. Dave kicked it off with Harlan County Line and Long White Cadillac before Phil came out. Thereafter a lot of blues, Blasters favs (Trouble Bound, Border Radio, American Music, Marie Marie), solo Dave gems (Dry River, a stunning 4th of July) and a tough new song called . Dave and Chirs Miller played some ripping guitar; Miller is a mean man with a slide. Drummer Lisa Pankratz s a powerhouse. Catch 'em if you can. Cabarone
Man, I'd love to see those guys...glad they're still at it, especially together...one of the most overlooked true American musical treasures around...
zombywoof
I have lost count of the number of bands I have seen Dave Alvin with. I have only seen and Phil together with the Blasters. My favorite Dave Alvin tour though remains the one he did with Tom Russell and Peter Case.

Rambler
So good. Great band, btw. Lisa Pankratz kicks the s*** out of the drums and Chris Miller plays a mean slide. Brad Fordham on bass covers the down-low.
