Twang Gang
For all you Marshall aficionados out there Sweetwater is running a special on a cool looking 1 x 12 combo amp for $699 with a financing option of $20/mo for 36 months. Has a lot of features, 2 Channels, effects loop, and has a Celestian Crème Back speaker. Just an FYI in case you've been looking for one. I can't seem to copy a link, but just go to Sweetwater.com and I'm sure you can find it.
Megafrog
What is really cool is when Sweetwater swaps out the stock speaker for either a creamback or a vintage 30. The stock speaker in these is pretty low end. The best place to buy one of these is Sweetwater.
MichaelT
Forgive my ignorance, but what is the difference between the Celestian speakers? Which is typically preferred?
rct
Forgive my ignorance, but what is the difference between the Celestian speakers? Some are slightly less icepick in the ears. Only slightly. Which is typically preferred? The Jensens. Yer welcome. rct
Megafrog
Forgive my ignorance, but what is the difference between the Celestian speakers? Which is typically preferred? The base speaker in those is a 70/80, which has a smaller magnet than either the Creamback or Vintage 30. I have a Vox cab with Greenbacks in it and I can tell a huge difference between that and my Marshall cab with 70/80s. Ron is right on the Jensens. I have one in my Fender Blues Deluxe and the clarity and tone is amazing. The 70/80 is not a horrible speaker by any stretch, it just isn't a great speaker. surfpup
Forgive my ignorance, but what is the difference between the Celestian speakers? Which is typically preferred? Greenback and/or G12H30 IMHO.
LarryUK
Sweetwater I was thinking of one of these but eventually got a Hughes & Kettner Switchblade. They are a good amp and you can get some great deals used.
badbluesplayer
Wow. That's a lot of amp for $699.
Megafrog
These amps are definitely not bad. Whenever I go to Guitar Center and try a guitar out I go for the DSL40. It is made in Vietnam but I wouldn't hold that against it.
