Sounds like it. Oh, well...

 

Yeah, I am psyched to get this Wildkat. I used to have one in turquoise, but I bought that at the time to be a "Casino alternative". I ended up selling it and buying an Elitist Casino. But it was a cool guitar, and this Koa one grabbed me immediately.

She's pretty alright. I hope you give us some feedback on quality and build. I just have this thing about the brand moving into China. When Gretsch was in the states many moons ago is when they had all the love.

The guitars they're making in Japan and Korea are equal to if not better than the old American made stuff .

I've had a Gretsch, or two, in my collection, for decades. Currently, only 2. My Vintage '66 Country Gent (re-bound, a couple of years ago, but otherwise, in amazing condition, given it's age), and a more recent (2003) '57 Duo-Jet TSP...which was considered the "George Harrison" version, prior to his signature version. Love 'em Both! And, it's very true..."Nothing Sounds Like A Gretsch!!"

It's with a heavy heart that I must announce that I will not be getting this Georgia Green 5565T. Spoke with a customer service rep. today about this guitar's availability, and he told me he did not expect any more to come in.

 

But all is not lost!

 

Undaunted, I went back to my list of guitars I've been eyeing recently, and I place an order for one of these gorgeous Koa Wildkats!

 

 

I'll be posting an actual "NGD" perhaps as soon as later this week!
