BluesKing777
I recorded another version of 'Capricorn Dancer' by Richard Clapton, but this time I played the J45, played the song differently, used my iRig Acoustic Stage mic on the J45 and ran it through the Boss VE8 Acoustic Player processor for reverb/delay/balance, vocal through the same using my trusty Shure SM58. https://soundcloud.com/bk7-3/capricorn2-j45 BluesKing777. duluthdan
I never tire of listening to your fingers dance on the fretboard. I still can't wrap my head around that little I-Rig dealy thing. From where it is mounted my brain say the trebles will ride over any bass, it wants to hear that. But i don't think it does, the bass in this demo sounds fairly robust. BluesKing777
Thanks Murph and Dan! The official explanation for the tone balance is the mic piece is a MEMS micro mic and the preamp has filters and eq and software. But who knows how it works, bizarre how it points at the 1st string but captues all of them very nicely! In my track above, there would be a bit of spill into the vocal mic (Shure SM58), but I have done plenty of other tracks with just the iRig. Very pleased! BluesKing777. BluesKing777
And a photo of the J45 (Standard). Had to go through photos on laptop and load to Imgur because of Photobucket problems, maybe all for the best because it is really quick!: BluesKing777.
