surfpup Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 I tried a set of these Raw Vintage springs in one of mine. It did increase the volume and sustain acoustically. $25 http://www.rawvintage.com/eng/item_springs.php
cookieman15061 Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Man I'm glad I don't have to make that decision.
jaxson50 Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 299.00 for some springs? If you do buy the vintage snake oil, let me know, i may have some dust that once sat upon my 62 brown face Bassman I would be willing to part with - if the price is right!
RevDavidLee Posted July 23, 2017 Author Posted July 23, 2017 Man I'm glad I don't have to make that decision. If I needed springs I would get the cheaper ones - it just amazes me how folks try to hype up innocuous parts to charge excesive amounts for something just because it's old. I find it somewhat goofy especially in this case Maybe I'm missing something.

surfpup Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Maybe I'm missing something. In general? Probably. In this case? No.
