RevDavidLee
If I had an ES-175 I would play it just like Steve Howe does, but sh-ittier.
zigzag
YES. Absolutely love that color. If mine had looked like that, I'd still have it.
AngelDeVille
I have an Epiphone 339 with p90's, and I get corrected all the time on whether it's a hollow or semi hollow.... and I really don't care... If it has "F" holes I call it a hollow body.
Megafrog
How do you like your Casino? I like my Casino but mostly because my wife got it for me as a gift. It is a 2013 made in China model that has a decent fit and finish and it sounds fine as well. The guitar is good for when I want to play some Beatles stuff. Dennis G
YES. I've owned a number of Casinos, Gretsch and Rickenbackers over the years. Cookieman, I've said it before and I'll say it again, that Green Gretsch is about the nicest looking guitar I've ever seen.

Californiaman
If I had an ES-175 I would play it all damn day. I sometimes do. Love the thickness of the neck as compared to my Epi or Teles.

flyingarmadillo
I have two Casinos, I love them both! Just put a B7 on the MIK one. If semi-hollows count I also have a Ric 360-12.
LarryUK
I bought this a while back. I've set it up now and it plays great. The action is so low.I'm surprised how good it is. It cost me £30 with a 'monkey on a stick' pickup. Another bargain.
daveinspain
I have an ES 175 Historic 1959 that I bought on clearance at GC. Original price was 4899.99 with a $3019.03 savings (43%) from Gibson's list price of $6939.00. The guitar sat there for years without a taker. Finally I saw it on clearance for $2799.99... I offered GC 2500 for it plus tax and they took it. As it turns out it is way too much guitar for me. A jazz guy would love this guitar and it is a beauty but it doesn’t do it for me. I got it up for sale.

Karloff
Of course. All of my acoustics have hollow bodies. Smart man. I tried a solid body acoustic once. boy, what a waste of time that was.
kidblast
Smart man. I tried a solid body acoustic once. boy, what a waste of time that was. I had an Ibanez Lonestar that I used when the band was gigging heavy and we had a lot of acoustic stuff. just like you mention! It was a very strange looking thing,, pointy headstock, single cutaway and the body was about the same depth of a 335.. it had a hole in it, but that was just for looks. The pickup worked good though, I had the action set quite low, she was easy to play, and very useful as a stage acoustic, but absolute rubbish for anything beyond. Californiaman
I have a Guild 175 Manhattan with p-90's. I love it. jaxson50 owns one too. I know, cause I've played it. It's nice.
merciful-evans
I bought this a while back. I've set it up now and it plays great. The action is so low.I'm surprised how good it is. It cost me £30 with a 'monkey on a stick' pickup. Another bargain. My 1st guitar was an Eko solid body. It was so old it had no truss rod. It developed a neck bow probably because I allowed it to overheat. Before that it was so nice to play. Your hollow body looks beautiful. :)
RevDavidLee
I have a handful of hollow bodies but I will literally have to go through the studio to pick out the full hollow bodies - I know I have some Gretsch's that I thought were full hollow bodies but they have the center block so not sure if we're counting those or not. This place makes me work
Twang Gang
I have one true hollow body: It doesn't make it out of the house much, I think I played it out at one solo gig. Also played it during a wedding ceremony for a friend's daughter. I do not have the jazz licks to do it justice, but love it's tone and enjoy it at home. Californiaman
That's definitely a hollow body I wouldn't mind playing.

cody78
I certainly do, though I tend to play solid bodies more recently due to playing more country/ folk rock stuff. I have the 3 Gibson hollow bodies in my avatar/profile pic which are an ES 5 SM, L5 CES and ES 175 and then an Epiphone Broadway & ES 175, a Gretsch G5120 Electromatic and a Godin 5th ave kingpin. pippy
I wish I had a Gibson to post here but not yet. In the meantime this has to suffice. And it does... D'Angelico Exel much like another couple of forumites own. Fully acoustic body in that the p'up is attached only to the p'g. The only difference between this and a 100% acoustic body is the jack-socket on the lower bout. I love it! Pip.
