BlackHawk233
Ok so I have decided to leave my Lyon alone, and want to Refinish my Behringer, I want the VM with shine, Kinda like the Wine Red Studio, it still keeps the wood grain. What would I need. I know Stewmac is where to get it online. But just wondering exactly what I need. Thanks
bobv
There's a site called reranch that has lots of info, and they sell rattle cans of nitro. Also there's a guitar finishing section on the tdpri forum, I'm sure they wouldn't mind you asking about refinishing some other type of guitar. Stew Mac has tutorials online as well as videos and books on guitar finishing. You'll want to decide if you're going to spray rattle cans or invest in some spray equipment (Preval disposable sprayers are okay for small batches of stain or sunburst toner/shaders), and if you've got spray equipment then you can use other finishes such as waterborne acrylics or polyesters rather than the traditional solvent-based nitrocellulose lacquer. Nitro is pretty forgiving, though, and it's the most popular so you'll easily find some good advice about it online.
