Wildwood Guitars

So I've been feeding my guitar porn habit as usual. The Wildwood website is a good place to do that... I counted up the number of sold guitars this year. so far they have sold 21 Murphy aged guitars at $9500 each, 30 standard RI's at $6500 each. They also just listed 4 Wildwood spec guitars with special Brazilian rosewood fret boards at $9800 each and they all sold in less than 2 days. Wow!! And that's just Gibson Custom Shop Standards! Man, those Brazilian rosewood guitars were nice:

I love Wildwood. I have purchased 2 Gibsons through them - my 2014 Gibson Kalamazoo & My 2016 Gibson Firebird & they always show up with perfect action, intonation & good to go except for having to tune them as they smartly loosen the strings before shipping. I love Wildwood & the guitars they sell so much I try not to look at their site very often [drool]

As much as I love guitars it will be a cold day in hell before I lay out $9800 for any guitar. [blink]

Yep, they're not cheap. You can say what you will about that, but it's a supply and demand equation. You can't get that product anywhere else or at a lower price. People are buying them. Wildwood is selling a lot of these instruments. Lots of fine members of this fine Board own them. I'm all for it. msp_thumbup.gif

Not knocking those guitars or the people that buy them at all. [smile]
