Megafrog Posted November 5, 2017 Share Posted November 5, 2017 I was finally able to afford a new Gibson SG Standard back in 2016 and I picked up one with P-90s and then a 2017 Standard as well but what I really wanted was a 2015 model, the last year with the coil taps and the Fireburst finish. Move forward to near the end of 2017 and I saw that Sam Ash had gotten some "from the Gibson Vault" SG Standards in the Fireburst finish and I knew I wanted one. The price was only $899, about the same as Guitar Center was selling them for used. I bit and am glad I did. Here are some pics of my new SG. I really like the wide neck on it and have the titanium replacement zero fret on order with Gibson. After I adjusted the action on this, she became my favorite SG. Great guitar!
