JuanCarlosVejar
Folks, Does anyone here know if Gibson had different versions of the logo in 1968? Would an early 1968 MOP logo be different from a late 1968 logo? Edit: The guitar I am looking has a logo very similar to this: http://www.glennsguitars.com/guitars/gibson/photos-312/page471.html But also has a Made in USA stamp on the back of headstock (I believe it was ordered outside the US) Thanks JC
zombywoof
I want to say that Gibson logos remained stable from the early 1950s up to the end of the 1960s. While I am not even close to an expert on 1960s Gibsons, I always thought that prior to around 1969 the "b" and "o" on the logo were open.
E-minor7
Seems to be the so called pantographic logo introduced in 1968. This 6 year old thread zooms in. http://forum.gibson....eadstock-logos/ Long live the Board library
zombywoof
1968 is also the year Gibson went to heavier bracing. Makes it harder to find a good one. When did Gibson go to tune-o-matic bridges on the Dove?

When did Gibson go to tune-o-matic bridges on the Dove? Didn't they have them from git-go in '62. But when did the other maple creature follow ? The 200. .
