songwriter delux vs progressive

Looks to me like it might just be the addition of the GForce tuners, Plek'd and richlite fingerboard, and the tune-o-matic saddle. Three reasons why I'd rather have a Songwriter Deluxe Studio over this model.

Combining Gibson's rich history of hand-built acoustics with modern innovations, the Songwriter Progressive features acoustic improvements to complement progressive styles. It includes Gibson G FORCE tuners for quick access to standard and alternate tunings which eliminates the need for multiple guitars in different tunings. Its titanium tune-o-matic saddle provides you with fast playing string action and an easy-to-adjust string height for progressive guitar techniques.

The Songwriter Progressive's slimmed down body depth allows for increased playability and comfort. It's topped off with excellent acoustic sound reproduction provided by an award-winning L.R. Baggs Lyric pickup system, featuring a mic pickup for amplified modern percussive playing.

Other features on this upgraded version include a 2016 engraved truss rod cover, improved feel thanks to the softened fingerboard edge which makes it a more comfortable fit in the contour your hand, an enhanced finish thanks to finer grit sandpaper and polishing compounds used on its high gloss finish, and smoother hand rubbed and oiled fingerboard and bridges which will make them last longer and maximizes the wood's natural vibrancy.

Finally, the Songwriter Progressive utilizes state-of-the-art German-engineered Plek technology to create the finest playing surface possible which has also been hand finished for the finest feel and playability.
