merciful-evans
An Electro String violin from 1936. It has the period wrap-around-the-strings pickup. Other than that it looks completely modern (body styling). Its easily a good deal better than my cheapo e-violin.
merciful-evans
I'd swap out the pickups on that. Bigsby bridge maybe?

Twang Gang
Interesting that the tuning keys are up by her chin. Reminds me of those guitars with no headstock where all the tuning happened down by the bridge. I think those were from the 80s roughly and everyone thought it was a new novel idea - used 50 years earlier on this fiddle.

merciful-evans
This was one of George Beauchamp's inventions. Of course Electro-String were later renamed Rickenbacker
