Definitive answer or guess? Does that mean any other difference from a Plain Jane J-45?

Definitive answer. The "plain Janes" have a different model number, unless it's a special order, I believe. Also, any differences between the J-45 models will depend on which model you have (True vintage, modern classic, historic, Legend, classic, etc.)

As far as I know, it's "just" a J-45, not a true vintage, modern classic, or whatever. I was really wondering what the "VS" was all about, though, so thanks for the answer.
