2012 les paul Custom Shop

Recommended Posts

Are you speaking of the fretboard material, or the inlays?

I believe a 2012 Custom Shop LP would have an ebony fretboard. More recently a lot of CS guitars have richlite fretboards.

Mark, your specs list both ebony and richlite. If you really want to know, call Gibson with your serno and ask. However, the OP's pics don't look like ebony to me.

Here is why they switched: https://www.npr.org/sections/therecord/2011/08/31/140090116/why-gibson-guitar-was-raided-by-the-justice-department
