zombywoof
A Kauffman Vibrola tailpiece cover. This was the cover of the first mechanical vibrato ever made. C. O. Kaufffman, was a chief engineer with Rickenebacker. He came up with these gizmos in the early 1930s. A couple of years back a friend offered to sell me a 1930s Vega archtop that had one of these vibrato units on it.
