And yes, I really like how well the wood grain shows through the finish. That's one of the reasons I didn't get a white or ebony one. The wine red really just screams "look at me." Also, I know the bedspread is old. I've probably had it since the first time I ever heard Eddie Vedder but it's the guest bed I keep made up for friends who stay the night, so it's not really a big priority on the "**** to get for the apartment" list.
