deju1980
Hi, My wife bought me a Les Paul Studio a few years ago and it's always buzzed slightly around the headstock area. I don't notice it when it's plugged into an amp, only when playing without an amp (to avoid annoying the neighbours), but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to sort it? SteveFord
The only thing I can think of is try packing the truss rod cavity with a piece of sorbothane or similar.
jdgm
You could try a strip of felt (or similar cloth) inbetween the strings behind the nut. Check machine head screws perhaps? Tighten/loosen truss rod 1/4 turn? (But not if it's already tight)...
MichaelT
Check the nuts around your tuning keys. My Tribute was doing that for a while. Apparently the one on the G string was a bit loose. I never heard it through the amp, just when playing unplugged. That's what mine was.
