MichaelT
There's a couple of online sites selling Traditionals at a fantastic price and I don't think I can pass it up, since I would like a cherry sunburst. I know a couple of people here have them and I wanted to get your take on them. I know it has a rounded neck and I'm ok with that. How are the Burstbucker 1 and 2 pickups? I have the Burstbucker Pro's in my Standard. Any other pros or cons? I'm ok with the weight.
Rabs
Well I cant really remember now but I think they are also non weight relieved.. Which means it may be quite heavy.. Actually I just went and looked and this one for example is 10.33lb.. I have a Classic that's a bit heavier than that and is not what I would choose if I were buying a new one. But im just getting old theres nothing wrong with it if you don't mind the weight :) https://wildwoodguitars.com/product/170019051/2017-gibson-les-paul-traditional-2/?cat_id=21756
Mutha
I`ve a 2015 one, love it. I don`t pass much heed to the weight and the pickups are great(to me) but I wouldn`t the best to ask.
Dave1963
Mine is a 2012 and I am sure it has classic '57's in it. ( I got it secondhand, so not too sure). It is truly an amazing piece of kit, albeit heavy! I would thoroughly recommend it to anybody.

'Scales
That Wildwood advert Rabs posted - $1899 - fantastic, or have you seen even less than that Michael? Seems a total bargain from here (where you'd be paying in the region of $3000 US I'd reckon)
MichaelT
That Wildwood advert Rabs posted - $1899 - fantastic, or have you seen even less than that Michael? Seems a total bargain from here (where you'd be paying in the region of $3000 US I'd reckon) The one I saw was a new 2017 Traditional at American Musical Supply for $1699.00. It's almost a no brainer. But, I played a 2018 Traditional yesterday and wow. It's considerably more at list price of $2699.00 but my friend at Guitar Center is working out a deal for me where it will be a bit more than last year's model but a great deal for the 2018 and about $500.00 less than list price. I'm throwing in a bottle of bourbon for him. That one is brand new and I actually had it in my hands for about an hour, played it through a few amps and really checked it out. I'd rather buy one I've actually played. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the 50's neck felt in my hands. I have big hands and long fingers and felt I could really grab onto the neck and string bending was very easy. The tone was a little different than my Standard and I'm pretty excited about the tonal quality of this guitar. It wasn't real heavy, maybe 9 pounds or a little over, even without weight relief. If all goes well this weekend, I will be buying this one on March 4th. My wife is already planning her kitchen remodel as a trade-off. :D Stove with over the range microwave, dishwasher, kitchen table and chairs. And, she wants another beach vacation too! She's mostly kidding but I always like to get her something of equal or greater value as well, just to make it fair. So, expect a NGD on March 4th or 5th from me. I'm going to try to get one of their Gear cards for 24 months, 0 interest and probably pay it off in 3 or 4 months. I can pay cash if needed but hoping it'll go through on a few payments, since that'll allow me to get her stuff faster. :D
