J-200 Koa

Somebody is going to be surprised....

That's pretty depressing. If you don't know what you're doing, you'd better buy from a reputable dealer.

considering reporting this one..

OK I'm new to this. why is this a fake? is it just the price?

There are a whole bunch of details that are wrong, but all you have to do is look at the serial number, which is not in the right format. After that, the incorrect details simply confirm what was already apparent.

There are MANY glaring and obvious fails here. The origin of this guitar is China, and was probably bought for $350/400 USD.

This A--hole is trying to get 2x+ what it's worth...

maybe I should not have done this, but I sent the seller a message....

moments later he replies and admits it's fake..

That s why it s listed at that price. New authentic j 200 3 to 5 thousand new.

I replied back, pointing out he was listing it as a Gibson and trying to sell it for 2x+ what it's worth.. also told him I was going to report it...

F--- these dicks..

That's mind-blowing to me. Is this guy in the US?

Please report the guy. There is nothing in the listing that suggests it is not a real Gibson.

Stuff like this makes me sick. He knows it's a fake, and is selling it as real?

edit: I contacted the seller, and told him if he knows it is fake and is representing it as real, he is committing a crime.

Not sure of the location. didn't check,, 18 + feedbacks, so who knows who else he's f'd over

but really... what BAWLS! I call him out, he admits it, then justifies it based on his asking price, @2x+ the face value.

and yes, I reported it. like I said, f--- these dicks...

it had 5 bids, and 40 watchers. are people really this stupid? (rhetorical question)...

had he listed it for what it was and put a reasonable price on it, I'd have just laughed and moved on.

plus, it's Saturday, I had that kind of time!

So, here's the reply I got back from the seller, through ebay:

New message from: tikerkma0 (18)

You are a moroon..it is not a crime to sell a guitar. The guitar is Gibson brand and is a J 200. Authentic Gibson j 200 guitars sell for thousands. This guitar is fairly priced. If you don t like it don t buy it.

Where does Gibson stand on this? - cos then the buyer of this 'new Gibson' goes on line telling the world how his new Gibson is crap as it cannot be tuned, starts to delaminate, sounds muffled...and how CQ has gone to hell etc..
