surfpup Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 From Premium Guitar magazine... Make your own rotary speaker (Leslie) https://www.premierguitar.com/articles/25852-diy-build-your-own-rotary-speaker
Dub-T-123 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I really don’t need another project right now, but I totally want this. You thinking about building one pup?
charlie brown Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I think that would be Fun, and great to have, IF you'd really need it, and USE it, a lot! However, in my particular case, I don't use "rotary speaker" effects, enough, to use it, to it's full capacity. And, to lug it around, as well. A Rotary pedal, is "good enough" for the limited times I use that effect. And, much easier to carry, as well. But, if you're so inclined, I think it would be Great! CB
rct Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Can you build two guys to carry it? MAN them were the days with my Sloe Gin and ashtray on the Leslie. Foreplay/Long Time. yeesh. rct
Marky Forrest Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 Cool project and I wouldn't mind having one but I couldn't construct it due to disability. I'm curious though too. Are you thinking of making one pup?
surfpup Posted March 3, 2018 Author Posted March 3, 2018 I really don’t need another project right now, but I totally want this. ...ne pup? ... Are you thinking of making one pup? Not so much. Just figured it was worth sharing. I'd never gig with one unless I had a road crew. The drunks in the bar don't care if I just use a pedal. However, if I ever have a big enough studio space (mine is tight) I'd totally build one.
rct Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Seems a few of you never got the memo. A Leslie should have a B3, and nothing else, at the other end of it. rct

rct Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Badge begs to differ.... I have to agree. On the Rainbow Concert, the Leslie is put to much better use in Little Wing, except they mixed it down too far after the first or second time up. I use Chorus and MXR for Badge. I love that song. We should do that. At least 11 minutes. Left foot up on the monitors. Awesome. rct

rct Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Helz yeah. The Keeley Monterey on my board has a pretty killer Leslie sim... Univibe too. Three part harmonies for the bridge on out all chorused and phased and Keeley'd and vibed and whatever the other guy uses I hope a flange, three headstocks back and forth, flashpots. EC will get the chills when he sees it on utoob. rct
