Grog
I bought a 2016 ES Les Paul Bass in Faded Dark Burst last fall. I was quite impressed by the quality & the weight. I have several other Les Paul basses, all very heavy. As I get older (I'm retired now), I thought it would be nice to have a few instruments that weren't back breakers. These fit the bill! A few days ago, we were on a road trip, stopped at Dave's Guitar Shop & I ran into this used 2015 ES Les Paul in Bourbon Burst. It ended up following me home. I need to give it more of a workout than I have, but first impressions are great................ I hope they re-establish the Memphis shop & continue to manufacture these. I haven't seen any 2017's or 2018's.
Larsongs
Both are beauties! I think like Thinline Tele's they are way overlooked. Although unlike Fender fugly Color options for their American Thinline Series Gibson has great Finishes available. Plus, these ES Les Paul's are Great Guitars! Grog
I just added strap locks & a new strap, then gave it about an hour workout. Nice balance, great tone & feel. Unbelievably light for a Les Paul. It's a keeper! Love the pickups...........
