Ok...I admit to having zero musical theory.I am learning a piece in Tab by Martin Talsrom

from YouTube. The actual fingering is managable, the guitar tuning is a little starnge.

The tuning is from low to high - F - A# - D - F - A# - D#.

I would prefer not to increase the string tension, or use a tuner.

What is this tuning and is there another tuning I could use with the same intervals?

I hpoe this make sense to someone!

Thanks Rich...It looks easier to get to. When I used a capo and a tuner, to get to the original it sounded like an open chord

except for the 1st string. What open chord is it?

Thanks for the tuning..I m on to now.

no way to get around the need for a tuner with some alternate tunings, That is one of the strangest tunings I think I've seen. Very nice piece tho. The tension wont really bother anything on the guitar so don't sweat that,

you still need the tension created with these varied tunings. So to use those fingers, that tuning has to be in place.
