I just bought my very first Gibson USA guitar - a Gibson Les Paul Custom in Alpine White. It is a beautiful and stunning guitar in looks and playability. The serial is CS700768 stamped in black on the neck. I'm trying to find out a bit more about it. My research leads me to believe the SN format of CSXXXXXX means the 2nd '0' indicates Nashville, but what does the rest mean? Does the first '7' indicate 2017 or 2007? I've researched about the serial numbers but it is not clear for mine. In addition, I can't find the full spec for either 2017 or 2007 model I'd be very grateful if you can provide a full explanation / interpretation of my serial number and a full spec of my guitar.
