El_Luz
I just bought an older epiphone les Paul descriped as an 90s made in Japan. It has an Sticker ‚made in japan‘ but i‘m Not Sure if it’s Legit. Electonic is korean. The craftmanship is flawless an the top looks solid onepice. Some years avi there was a thread here discussing a simular guitar but the pictures arent online anymore. Maybe you could help me if i was tricked... I bought it from a Professional Seller via reverb and Shipping and tax was a big chunc so Return or refund is tricky... https://www.dropbox.com/sh/jv6ktqguf2vu3ru/AAB2HiBLFnMVpvxS83NaqB3Ka?dl=
JAF
The MIJ I have seen have Gibson style truss rod covers. Just two bolts, not three. But this could mean nothing.
mihcmac
The Guitar Dater Project lists your SN# 4090054 as.. Your guitar was made in Korea on September, 1994 Production Number: 54 The Korean Les Paul's from this era are usually pretty good, a flame maple top is usually a flame maple top. Sometimes they had Japan stickers on them because they were inspected there not necessarily made there or final assembly in Japan.. Those days were like the wild west and a lot of the Japanese serial numbers were not recorded or tracked, but Korean Epiphone serial numbers were tracked.. Enjoy... :
