LWAG
Hello and Welcome to Gibson Forum. Well..... In the 1980's, Gibson had a change of hands and their Les Paul brand of guitars suddenly got lighter, chambered guitars opposed to solid bodied guitars - an early 1980's Gibson Les Paul is different to a late 1980's Gibson Les Paul (although Gibson VOS 'Vintage Original Spec') Reissues for the most part are solid bodied guitars. I think those are made in the same factory as their chambered Gibson Les Pauls. I think/am unsure.
