jdgm
It has been announced on M Fleetwood's facebk page that Danny Kirwan passed away yesterday. He was a fine singer/composer/guitarist back in the day. R.I.P.

pippy
Ah, that's very sad news indeed. Through the power of the internet I discovered that it was he - and not Peter Green - who was behind some of my all-time favourite P-G's F-M lead-work. May you R.I.P. Mr. Kirwan and thank you so very much for both the music and the inspiration they inspired. Pip.

IanHenry
Sad loss, greatly underrated, but if your in the shadow of someone like Peter Green that's always going to happen. RIP Danny. Ian

jdgm
Some say they enjoyed FM more in those early days... Too true. I was fortunate enough to see them on June 28 1969, Bath Blues Fest (day before my 15th birthday!) and they ROCKED DAMN HARD. It was a different band. As Karloff says, shame about the demons.....
