Okay, I am in love

I know you don't need another guitar. Neither do I, but I bought one last week anyway [blush]

Well, since we're on the topic of being in love with guitars, and P-90's, I have been lusting after this Revstar RS502T for some time now.

Okay, so I ordered it.

It arrived just the other day, and it'll remain in it's shipping crate in the hall closet until I open it up on my birthday on the 27th of July.

I can't wait.

You lucky Sparkperson. I seem to remember this is not the 1st time something like this has happened.

Not into the colour, but very interesting design; the tailpiece is not a trapeze but looks very solid, and it has a 'dry' push-pull switch....? :-k

Blurb -

"Drawing inspiration from London and Tokyo's vintage street-racing motorbikes, Japan's heritage of engineering excellence, and Yamaha's 50-year legacy of guitar craftsmanship, every detail of each Revstar model has been carefully engineered to bring out the unique personality of each guitar in the lineup. From the curves and contours of the ground-up body design to the distinctive colours and finishes and custom-wound pickups that perfectly match the guitar's character, the Revstar collection comprises a diverse lineup as the guitarists who play them.

This is Revstar - Meet your other half!

From the moment we started, Revstar had a different approach. We worked with a leading design agency and a global team of designers, to research and develop every element of the guitar, searching for the perfect balance of uniqueness and familiarity in every curve, component and colour. True design process is used in every aspect of our lives, but guitars aren’t designed this way. Until now.

Nothing made it to Revstar’s final design because “that’s how we do it”. Everything was questioned, everything was validated, everything is what we believe is right. Each detail, from the arm cut to the neck joint has been debated, argued about and chosen because it’s what the guitar needed. This isn’t change for the sake of it, it’s the search for perfection.

Every detail of Revstar is designed to make you want to play. To create something amazing. From necks designed to feel great for today’s players, to pickup tones which add a certain something different, this isn’t a guitar to be admired. It’s to be played."

And I bet there are no "aesthetic flaws" or quirks either.

Happy Birthday - I was 64 end of June.

Looks nice Sparky, so I see it has a good review and I've been interested with the P-90's for awhile. Never owned a guitar with them nor played one. Traded my Epiphone Standard for my sons Epiphone Custom Pro with Burst Buckers and absolutely love it. He was going to sell it. Now I have a thing for P-90's. By he way, Happy Birthday in 16 more days. I just turned 65 April 22. I think you will be 59 right?
