pics of rare guitars

They don't get much more rare than this.

 

It's a 2001. One of 25 built for distribution in Japan. "Yamano I believe.

A repro of the Clapton Explorer from the 70's

23 were Mahogany 2 were solid Korina.

I got one of the two Korina's ...

My wife found this photo in a advertising trade magazine. Being the good wife she is, she ripped the page out of the magazine and brought it home for me. I'd never actually seen one until a few months ago at my local GC, they have one behind glass.

How about my Fender SRV Strat. There supposedly only a small handful of them made with Brazillian rosewood fret board which this one has. Fender won't (can't???) tell how many were actually made with brazillian rosewood - what I've read was anywhere between 50 - 500. All the others are Pao Ferro.
